Salvation Army and other charities

Every time I go to the grocery store, I see somebody in all white with a Salvation Army bucket just sitting down, nodding to people, but not speaking. I've been wondering for a while how much people give them each day, and questioning whether it's legit or not. Seriously, what regulations are there that see where the money goes? Does anybody from the Dub donate money to any charity? What are your thoughts?

the salvation army i know of is like a pawn shop with mostly furniture and clothes where you just get a receipt for a tax write off from your donation, you dont get any cash

charities are suspect, if you do your work, most only give like 30-60% of your money to the actuall people, the rest of it gets lost in translation (salaries, bonuses, benzes, prostitutes, cocaine habits, etc.)

The Salvation Army people I can tolerate a lil more, cus they dont beg for money....they just ring that fuckin bell.

But I hate when Im in the grocery store, buyin my shit, and the cashier says all loud...."WOULD YOU LIKE TO DONATE A DOLLAR TO STARVING BABIES BORN WITH BRAIN CANCER??"

Here's me, grown ass man...walkin towards the store, and seein a girlscout table at the entrance. So what do I do? Walk all the way to the other entrance to avoid em....only to find out, they got that entrance blocked too!! Man...
