What this NBA season has shown us
« on: May 01, 2009, 02:13:27 AM »
Billups is a winner and one of the most valuable players in the league year in and year out

T-Mac and Iverson are both LOSERS that I wouldnt want close to my favorite team.  My god Iverson and Mcgrady are pathetic, just look at how there seasons panned out and the seasons of the teams they were involved with.

And Granger is one of the brightest young stars in the league, if not the brightest ;D ;D
Next year at this time Granger will be making his name in the playoffs 8)

Trading Iverson for Billups was a bad idea but Detroits season went downhill for reasons besides Iverson.

Go check the tread of the Iverson-Billups trade. I wrote CLEARLY that Iverson is one of the most overrated players ever, and that Billups was way better than him. I honestly can't understand how some of you guys believed it was a great trade for Detroit.

Iverson definitely didn't fit in Detroit, but I wouldn't go as far as calling him a loser...he just needs a team built around him to succeed ala the sixers who made it to the Finals. he's one of the greatest small guys to ever play, but just hasn't been that fortunate throughout his career...and T-Mac is a shell of his former self, which is another case of misfortune...PeACe

T-Mac just needs to be on a team where he doesnt need to be the leader.  He'd fit in great with the Spurs  ;D He can be the second or 3rd option rather then the go to guy.

I was right there with you.  I knew this was a horrible trade from day 1

lol the guy who called Iverson a loser is a fan of a team who hasnt won since the ABA days.

bad move for Detriot though, Iverson needs to be the heart of the team; the game needs to revolve around him & it just didnt in the D.

Billups is a monster! :o 8)
