production on new 2pac...
« on: October 12, 2002, 11:47:34 PM »
well as reported on dubcnn, 7aurelius or however the fuck you spell his name has done production for pac's next cd. in case some of yall don't know, he's a producer for  murder inc. i swear to god, if fuckin irv gotti has any production on this cd, i'm gonna fuckin vomit. i have a sick feelin that he's gonna produce on there, and we're gonna see ja rule pop up on there. and i can already hear people's response to what i said..."i hope gotti and ja are on there. that will get him on mtv and more people will get into his music" fuck that response. i didn't need either of those bitches to get me into 2pac. i don't want pac to get large record sales because of those bitches. all they do is cheapen his name. i just wish they would have left the beats in their OG form. but leave it to suge to fuck up a good thing. peace

I feel you jeromechickenbone. I think we agree that none of the real Pac fans like us wanna see Ja Rule's name in the tracklist of the album. But one track with Ja out of about 30 tracks aint the end of the World! My feelings are that Ja will not be on the album, but i have no proofs or things like that: i simply hope that! 7 Aurelius co-produced the album that media labelled as "the hottest of the year": i'm talking about Ashanti's cd. He produced tracks for Ja Rule, Jennifer Lopez, Eve, Murder Inc., Mariah Carey and a lot of other famous singers. He got a pretty good name and he's a good producer too, so this aint a bad news at all for me. He will produce just 3 tracks (Intro, Thug Mansion & Better Dayz), so it will not be so bad anyway. Let's wait for the tracklist or more news before starting to be... "scared"!

Oh you noticed it? Oh yeah, i forgot.. you've already sent me a PM. Plus this reply! In a record time: you did both the things in less than 10 minutes. You got a radar or what? Congratulations. Btw, unfortunately, i've promised not to have beefs and to ignore stupid posts. I'm here only to PM my homies sometimes and to reply to just the posts i'm interested in. Later (lol, heheh..).

Yeah i think he produced like 3 tracks from their last compilation. The beats are not bad. The bad thing is the rappers who rap on them, lol. But that's not a problem talking about a 2Pac album, i think. So that's not a bad news at all. Snoop worked with East Coast producers too, and i think he did it pretty well. So i aint really mad if a famous East Coast producer remixed 2 tracks (plus Intro) for a double album of Pac. Johnny J and QD3 worked on the most number of tracks, and they know how to work "with" Pac, so i'm pretty "relaxed" about it. Let's hope the release date is November 2002 and not 2003! ;D

This Seven guy basically IS Irv Gotti.  He did that "Gangsta Lovin" joint, the biggest Dre rip-off I've ever heard.

One of the problems with "Until The End Of Time" was that it seemed "stuck in the past."  It felt too much like '96...(I know, cause Pac was writing then), but the beats too.  They didn't fit in with today's work, so I'm hoping some producers could make Pac sound like Pac would sound TODAY.  Johnny J makes Pac seem like Death Row too much.  We need other new producers like Alchemist, Just Blaze and Dre.  Man, imagine that.

Apparently the Neptunes have a production spot on this release, but then that was reported some time ago. I actually don't mind Johnny J's production with 'Pac, he's done alot of great work with 'Pac in the past. I wouldn't mind seeing more Quik production, he could do alot of good to 'Pac's music now aswell as getting himself out there and getting alot more recognition. Anyways, i'm looking forward to hearing some 'new' 2Pac, if the productions not up to scratch there's always the originals to go back to. But i'll support his work no matter what.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

That's just a dream, man! Btw, i'd love DJ Quik to produce 1-2 tracks from the album too, but i'm still very disappointed from "Words 2 My Firstborn". I aint feeling Quik's work for this track. OG was incredibly better, and this mix aint good at all. But maybe it's cause the OG is a classic track. I dunno.... that's why i'd love to see Quik working for this album. Cause i know he's tight. I'm sure he cant make 2 consecutive wrong mixes..

That's just a dream, man! Btw, just to diss Ja a lil bit.. (it's always funny).. have you heard his last single "Thug Love" feat. Bobby Brown? He copied Pac & Bone's title "Thug Luv". Isnt that enought? Ok, read this line.. "...who do you believe in? Is it money or God?...cause I love it when ya rock ya body body rock ya body body". ROFL! I think that's another record (how many records today? LOL) cause he bited two songs there, "Who Do U Believe In" and "Let Em Have It". I dunno if it's me being Italian and not being English, but.. to me that line is absolutely pointless. It makes no kinda sense to me. Plus.. how can he use a line from a deep tune and a fuck song in the same sentence? Ja the God!

Lol. Another funny thing, Irv Gotti was saying that he thinks Bobby Brown is alot like 2Pac, whatever that means, anything to fit 'Pac into a sentence I guess. Seriously though, Ja isn't intelligent enough to become what 2Pac was. If he thinks biting a few lines here and there and dressing like 2Pac makes him '2Pac' he needs his head checked.

Well, just to have fun...

Imagine Pac over one of Dre's beats, nowadays.  I know they had some trouble in the past, but that was all Suge anyway.  Lets says, the lyrics to "Why U Turn On Me" over Dre' beat "Best Of Things."

Dre should of atleast given him something for the new album.  Or have Storch do a beat.

I don't know bout The Neptunes though.

That was not been confirmed yet. It sounds like a fake rumor.

Btw Murrow i feel you. A Dre beat for Pac? A dream! But absolutely impossible (remember the album is Amaru-Tha Row!). Plus remember Amaru didnt do a "nice" job for Dre by releasing "Fuck Friendz" with the OG diss "Dre can kiss my ass.." (while they cutted Nas & BIG disses for unknown reasons). So.. i dunno.. i think Dre will never work for Pac no more!

I'm pretty sure this album will be out on November 26th...the same day of Snoop dogg's Paid the cost to be the boss.
What a wondeful coincidence in this wonderful world full of suge knights

Right. I never saw at it this way. Good post. 2Pac is always 2Pac. And considering UTEOT sold more than all the Dogghouse projects, to release this album the same day of Snoop can be a bad thing for Snoop's sales. November 26th aint exactly the classic day they used to release previous Pac albums. Now that i think i'm sure Suge had something to do with it. They obviously wanted the "war", cause they knew about Snoop's release date BEFORE they chosed Nov. 26th.
