back to topic...
had a quick scan through and a decent(ish) listen to the Ra track (its late here)
I don't think the Ra track is Dre (i'd be willing to bet he mixed it though) but there are touches of things in there though that remind of Xzibits recent stuff, especially the chorus. Its a pretty mad beat... kinda hard to follow... but its not a superficial beat.. be interesting to see who laced this one.

01 - Eminem - Lose Yourself
4.75 of 5
Hot ish, almost flawless. Dope el-guitars & beat.
02 - Obie Trice, Eminem & 50 Cent - Love Me
4.25 of 5
Has a dark nice feel to it.
03 - Eminem - 8 Mile
4.5 of 5
Totally niceness, but it's 6 minutes, and that's a little too long..
04 - Obie Trice - Adrenaline Rush
4 of 4
05 - 50 Cent - Places To Go
4.5 of 5
Addictive shit, and a hot Em-beat,
06 - D-12 - Rap Game
4.75 of 5
Hot crew-joint, 50 is a good addition to the crew, but 6-7 rappers on every joint is maybe a little too much.
07 - Jay-Z - 8 Miles and Running
4.5 of 5, Freeway is annoying.
08 - Xzibit - Spitshine
4.75 of 5
Hot Kon Artis-beat, and Xzibit kills it.
Should have been on MVM
09 - Macy Gray - Time of Your Life
10 - Nas - You Wanna Be Me
3 of 5
- Nas isn't consistant these days
His first single isn't better neither.
I guess he shouldn't have competed Jigga to get the best album out..
11 - 50 Cent - Wanksta
4.25 of 5
12 - Boomkat - Wasting My Time
13 - Rakim - R.A.K.I.M.
4.5 of 5, growing on me.. sounds like Rockwilder to me, it can't be Dre.
Rakim got TOO big expectations on him, it's almost impossible to live up to it.
14 - Young Zee - That's My Nigga Fo Real
2 of 5
Nah.
15 - Gangstarr - Battle
5 of 5
Holy ish, this is Premos best beat since the Golden Chyld remix.
Guru spits acid.
16 - Eminem - Run Rabbit Run
5 of 5, holy fuck
Better than "Lose Yourself", but not as commercial sellable.
Em holds down Shady Records by himself, he's among the best producers out there at the moment. Amazing beat, and flawless flow/lyrics.
If Eminem put some of these tracks on "Eminem Show", and removed some of the ones on "ES", then he could have a true classic...

I can't believe what i'm hearin! It's useless with you so called west coast representers. If you been listening to hip hop since 91, then you are a little kid. I been listening to hip hop since 79' hardcore son and believe me when I say this soundtrack is garbage. For a board that's supposed to represent real west coast hip hop, there sure is some commercialized niggaz up in here. I'm Out!!
