I remember reading one time after he died that he had like 30 or more unrleased Pac tracks in his vaults, did any of them ever leak out or did his wife sell them?  The Snoop "If Theres a Cure" song made me start thinking about them again!

Well, apparently there was going to be an album out in June with a bunch of his unheard mixes of Pac songs.  But the advertisements have all been removed from Johnny J's myspace, which leads us to believe that Amaru or someone stepped in and blocked the release.

I actually just stumbled on that post after writing mine, thats no surprise I guess.  Amaru seems to have no definitive timeline for anything, and seems to just be the bully on the playground most times!

Yeah.  Our best hope at this point for hearing any more Johnny J produced 2pac tracks, is if some are included in the 13 track 2pac lp that Wideawake are releasing next year.  That, or if by some chance, a few more of them leak through some of the channels that the last few recent leaks have come frome.

I can definately see a future pac/Johnny J album best of released sometime soon, I just hope its not filled with tracks like all about you, pour out a little liquar etc....

In a way, the myspace album is not a huge loss, they were always going to be remix's, we want the og'z, too many remixes out these dayz.

Well, if it's Johnny 'J' that did the remixes than I def want to hear it since 99% of his shit is CLASSIC, OG or Remixes 8)

Then you got people remixing and calling them OGs thats what I hate the most. People passing off mixes as OGs. In the end I think Johnny J's tracks will get leaked. I'm hoping once all the tupac stuff is leaked, someone will put a huge pack together with all of them. Because I want em all but can't keep track of all the songs. lol so far I only have Original Thug Life album, and 10 OG tracks lol

I have a question thats kinda awkward but what if say Pacs mom passes away. who gets the rights to his material? will stuff then be released freely? Not saying I want her to die or anything, just curious.

Also Is pacs mom doing this for him or is she being greedy with his material and wants to profit off it? not saying its wrong but i havent followed this story much. if anyone can fill me in, thanks.

Whoever she passes them down to in her will. Once it gets to 2066 (70 years after the original artist's death) it becomes public material.

She is doing it outta love (but at times it seems greedy), but she isn't into the rap genre she's a outsider. That's why she doesn't release OGs, shes not like us, she finds people who have respect for her son and lets them produce the album (she as a executive producer).Look at eminem, she let him produce 1 pac album, because he wrote a letter talking about how much deep respect he had for Tupac.Does she make the right decision...well that depends. On the 1 hand she has someone who respects her son's legacy and is putting his heart into the album on the other hand, Lots of fans feel she is fucking up the music, because she is using artist pac wouldn't do anything with.

Now for the latter I honestly think she doesn't know who the artist are. I doubt she is actually into rap do to her given age and the debut of the genre, but she is building on Shakurs Legacy. She uses his album profits to build multiple 2pac schools and charity (tupac was known for his charity work when it came to the poor). So I think she's keeping his legacy alive, its just her not knowing of rap culture that looks like she is hurting her sons legacy.

I really hope so too, but I don't have a lot of faith that it will.
