isolate yourself from society and keep telling yourself that nobody cares about you.
what do y'all do to deal with it or overcome it...

If you have depression, go see doctor about pretique (spelling error) or effexor... or if you just simply depress...go workout.
Fuck that anti depressant shit don't mess with that stuff.Just work your way through it.
Either way.I've had bouts of depression and refrained from using medication. Its better to just work it out you become a stronger person for it rather then relying on a chemical substance that isn't natural
I realize that yes their is people with a chemical imbalance but these people are in the minority.Anti depressants are handed out way too easily in these times. Its just a legal no different then cocaine in that many become addicted and reliant on a substance that they never needed in the first place.
i want to say something jack assy funny, but i went through a bout of depression 4 years ago, and it suckedbut what helped me wasgoing to the gym and working outeating a lot of oranges and bananas drinking a lot of watersurrounding myself with good friendslistening to lots of music that spoke to melearning new music on the guitar, picking up the piano and learning thatthen eventually i found myself one day, really fit and healthy, surrounded by tons of people that loved to be around me, a brand new outlook on life that was positive and that people liked, and found my dream girl. so the moral is just find ways to better yourself.

You should take this to the Train Of Thought section if you want more enlightened responses (although smoking ganja wasn't bad advice, it is the blessed herb, and has many positive spiritual benefits)....Anyway...Don't look at your pain/depression as something that necessarily needs to be avoided, or as something you shouldn't think about. Actually your pain can be a beacon. Your pain is trying to tell you something. It is trying to direct you away from something that is not good for you. So listen to your pain/depression and see what it is really telling you.Sometimes we may be in a situation, and we become depressed. And rather than getting out of the situation and moving onto something better, we instead consider ourselves to be "depressed" and therefore hopeless. That's like being out in the cold weather and feeling uncomfortable, and thinking you just don't feel well when really all you need is a jacket or to find warmer weather. Now you may feel stuck in a bad situation. But there is always a way out of that situation. It may require either self-improvement on your part to elevate above the situation, or it may require you to take a risk and leave the situation altogether. But it can be done.
