but i like selective pieces of work from him (mainly off the unda tha influence album)

Thats my least favorite Quik album.

But I like Quiks earlier stuff.

not feelin the second half of the album but first half is bangin and balance & options got some bangers but thats the sound i like from quik but yeah I think he is overrated -in general

Balance and Options is Bangin.

I also love Quiks voice on that album. Has a nice laid back voice on most of the tracks.

IMO it depends on what era and when you came up
not everyone is gon be feelin the album but to others it could be or is deemed a classic and vice versa
you ask some on here they'd die to have quik bring back that style and some wouldnt

I haven't checked all his albums yet. Of the productions I have heard from him, I can't see the love for him.

Gimme some Dre, Fredwreck, Daz, Khalil or Warren G productions from the West anyday.

nope no way. quik's music is layered and mixed so perfectly its ridicolous imo. it has a very smooth musical feel.
