The Rays did make the late push to win the game, but they were getting runners on base all game and couldn't get a clutch hit, and finally got them the last couple of innings. It's a long season and anything could happen, but I don't understand why managers don't bring in closers in the 7th or 8th more often if they are that good. And signing a player like Guillen when you are a small-market team isn't very smart because you know he isn't big on hustle even if he is talented. Somebody like Aaron Rowand would have been a better fit for that type of team because he is going to have set a good example for the young guys on the team.I wouldn't count on the Chiefs, trading for Matt Cassell when Thigpen was the same guy and drafting Tyson Jackson 3rd overall don't give me much confidence that they know what they're doing.
about 5 years ago didn't they have a winning season?I think they missed the playoffs though... the coach got manager of the year I believe
trade Grienke to the YAnkeesand the Chiefs will finish behind SD but above the others in the division....Denver may surprise ppl tho, i like what they did on DEFENSE and Brandon Marshall will help Kyle Orton in many ways that Chicago couldn't
The problem with Jose Guillen isn't his hustling, it's his ability. He's a well below average player getting paid the big bucks.
Even Grienke is getting rocked now. He just gave up 7 runs against the Blue Jays in a 9-3 loss.
'Oh I can't see him, I can't see God', YA'LL CAN'T SEE FUCKIN' AIR NEITHER!
Prove to me the wind. Show me the wind man. I want proof of that shit. Cuz I don't see it.
