I wish people who are from California would stop calling it "Cali"

It sounds so pitifully 1990's, like it should be used over and over in a disney channel movie about surfing. Plus whenever I go to New York or New England or Seattle, people are always like, "Yeah I love it out in Caaalliii" with their not-from-California accents, trying to sound laid back. Cali is an area in Colombia, I rep the state of California.

however i've heard many folks say that california people use the word "like" a lot.

Ive had a lot of homies from out of town....and certain words they say we have an accent on. First, we say the word "homie" alot.  But words like park, car, etc....we fuck up alot. It sound more like..."Ay homie, get the core so we can dip to the pork" lol

i dont know i dont see a cali accent, it sounds like the same as the accent most people have on TV, or mayb not having a strong accent as a southerner, boston guy, or newyorker is an accent in it self. but i never really considered it an accent

Thats why I started this. I rarely hear anyone call it cali except for people on here. It sounds lame when I still hear it in real life.
