He should drop some mixtape thru iTunes with some BOSS leftovers to keep people interested into hearing that shit... I love Crook's music but I'm gonna be real with y'all - I haven't checked for his solo shit after that "I'm Still A MC" dropped... He's a dope MC but business-wise dude's lost in space - he don't know if he wants to still rolling out with this BOSS shit or just record another new album with fresh ideas...
Untouchable > BOSS music
Crooked I is a loser and the weakest in Slaughter House. lol I still cant believe these guys formed a group. I mean there all dope but there all overlooked for one reason or another. Crooked I is dope but hes not marketable look at that face. what 16 year old girl is going to be able to sleep with a Crooked I poster in her room? Joel Ortiz looks mechanic from the Bronx. Royce looks like a child molester.Joe Budden is the only one I think can make it. Good flow and he is personable.Crooked I has monkey face hes not going anywhere
When did colorful become sex symbol? I simply meant that he was more dynamic, he was fun and interesting to listen to. Whilst on Death Row, he was Raw, and hungry, and in 2000 - rapped in a style that many admired, which created the fan base he has with him today!!!Back then his promotion was appearing on the Too Gangsta 4 radio compilation, and then on The Dogg Pound 2002. They released the WestCostanostra mixtape and had thousands at the time anticipating the release of Say Hi To The Bad Guy. People were glad to see him collaborating with mainstream Murder Inc at the time, because he was about to blow up in a good way, with good sound. With the Mamas Boy got a loaded gun album after Death Row, people still anticipated that, but not long after the continious releases of current electronica-style mixtapes, and his attempts at commercial single releases, left many longing for his older more sought after work. And with the constant delays, and releases of albums scraps and mixtapes, it doesn't in no way IMO compare to his Death Row material, which leads me to believe that he simply can't at current time release a HOT album (in our eyes) and we're seeing evidence of it Don't get me wrong. I think Crooked I is a hot rapper, and some of his current raps are unbelievable, but musically, he's just not that interesting compared to his old Death Row days. I don't know if many will agree, but when I hear that "Block Obama 2" mixtape is out soon, and all these people are getting hyped about it - I just don't feel that interested in it To be honest, or anything that is scheduled, because the assisted promotion that is combined with his album just doesn't get me that hyped to want to go out and purchase the BOSS album... If he were to come out and say that he is releasing the Untouchable album remastered in August with 16 tracks, I'd pre-order immediately because the promotion and track leaks that combined with this album displayed huge magnitude, and generated huge interest. I'd buy it for all the right reasons. Until Crooked I releases a worthy EP of solid album worthy tracks, he wont get my purchase of BOSS. I hate it though, because I'm a Crooked I fan, and want him to blow up as much as the next man, but being honest, he's just not that interesting
