But yes. The reasons for a tighter border are so overwhelming, I don't want to get it in to it.
Cartel violence
Undocumented, untaxed population
Public sanitation
Public safety
Cost to local governments
Animals (disease ridden ones, crossing over, I mean real animals, not just the dirty rio grande crossers)
I could go on and really get in to the finer points, but I'm pretty sure most of us are in agreement on this issue.

Yes, all borders need to be strict. If this is a topic turning into Immagration, I believe we restrict the borders, and legalize the ones here who already working and are trying to build a better life. Mexicans aren't gonna give a fuck about the babydick problems Americans are having because of them when they're making pennies while being run by a corrupt government. NO matter how you look at it, while Mexico is a shithole people are going to be migrating to make their lives better for themselves and their children. You might say "Oh that's not America's problem, they put themselves in this situation." It became their problem once they stole half their land for a measly $15 mil (worth 300 mil now) in the treaty of guadalupe hidalgo. Those are the reparations I'm talking about

1. Inflation! The concept of "boo hoo, it wasn't enough money" the Mexican government sold the fucking terrirtory! Don't be mad at the US because the government in Mexico was a bunch of putzes.
2. Reparations - Mexico should pay reparations for all the Indians and Aztecs they stole land from and slaughtered. Matter of fact, they should pay American Indians reparations for all the land they stole.
And hell, why not France, England and Spain, they all killed natives and stole their lands and gold as well.
There is no major nation without a bloody past involving power struggles. That is the way of the world. To whine about money needed for ills commited past is a bunch of fucking bullshit.
