the main reason for the cavs making this trade was mostly financial, shaqs 21 million contract ends at the end of next season giving cleveland the ability to resign lebron and sign another star free agent such as chris bosh. great move by the cavs imo this will make them a little better this season at the same time, maybe not championship material but they will be in contention.

I don't get why the Suns did this, probably because they didn't want to deal with an unhappy Shaq/Amare. Ben and Sasha will do nothing for them.

Dude on ESPN was talkin about how Shaq wants a 2 year extension after the upcoming season (not necessarily w/ Cavs), and because of that, he'll be pretty motivated.

Plus Bron will know how to handle him.

If he's healthy and in good shape, they could def do some big things.

And surely LeBron was pushing for this, so he sees the potential.
