Magic Close to Acquiring Carter

Magic in talks to acquire Nets’ Carter

The New Jersey Nets are in advanced discussions to send Vince Carter(notes) to the Orlando Magic for Rafer Alston(notes), Tony Battie(notes) and Courtney Lee(notes), a source with knowledge of the negotiations told Yahoo! Sports.

If the Nets move Carter, they will draft Louisville shooting guard Terrence Willams at No. 11, if he’s still available.

The source categorgized the deal as “close” and it could be consummated by the end of the night.

i like Courtney Lee, but Vince could be a problem with Dwight for two more years.

i heard they might do it and still re-sign turkoglu.....if they dont make re-signing him their first priority then they're dumb.

They better resign Hedo, They should also try to sign the Birdman who will be a free agent.  I think he would be good fit for them.

Im not even sure how I really feel about this trade. I lied Courtney Lee and Alstons play this year.  Im just not convinced that vince will be the answer in Orlando.

I think we should all consider how good of a year Vince had this last season.  He showed he can still easily play ball at a All Star level.

Hedo is gone, no way they can afford him now. They made this trade cus they knew no hedo. If this sparks Carter finally being on a legit contender, Orlando will be one scary motherfucker next year.

Hedo played no fuckin Defense. I cringed while watching the finals... The guy let Kobe and Ariza hit wide open three pointers!! Vince is more atheltic and a better fit for that system.
