The real record is 73 Home Runs by Bonds.  If you are going to remove that from him then you have to remove every statistic from the hundreds and hundreds of steroid users during this era and you also have to remove all of the wins by any team that every had a steroid user which would mean no team would have a single win in the last 10 years.  This is the steroid era ladies and gentlemen, we cant just remove Bonds records because he was by far the best and let everything else remain like it is.  Did Bonds, Arod, Clemens, Manny, etc. cheat?  Yeah but so did hundreds if not thousands from this era so why just penalize the best ones?

bonds hit 73 in the year 2001

mcgwire had hit 70 in 1998...and Sosa's hit 66 before.

it's funny...people call bonds the best HR hitter or whatever beacuse he amassed HAnk Aaron , but yet he's only had one season with 50 homers.  sosa and mcgwire both had multipe years with 60 homers...i think sosa had 3!!  arods had 3 years with 50 homers

look at the 3 people under Bonds...and lets consider the era's they played in (Babe Ruth in 450 foot stadiums & spitballs not being outlawed until 1931), Hank Aaron (playing in the offensively challenged 1960's and 1970s) and Willie Mays  (same challanges as Aaron)

I think historically the best HR hitters were 1 Ruth, 2 Mantle (too bad he was a drunk), 3 Josh Gibson (negro leagues ofcourse), and then from then on i can't really rank these guys:  Aaron,, Mays, McGwire*, Bonds*, A-rod* (shortstop with 50 HRs? wtf), Gehrig and Foxx.  and Ted Williams to a certain degree, but he was more of an all around hitter than a HR hitter.

lol  it just means that at a time when ballparks are only 300 feet, the balls are juiced & the players are juiced....home runs became easier to hit from 1990-2004 lol.  you had a shortstop hitting 57 home runs! lol

MLB really needs to make all teams push the fences back ATLEAST 325 feet at the foul poul....maybe even further to me.
