From Pac's DVDs where he's speaking the truth, to his music. He was one of Pac's closest homies, and he's keeping his name alive in the streets. I'm loving that. And this album is blazing.

I've read in another post that you think the beats are horribles. Man.. get off Dre's and Fred Wreck's beats! RAP IS A MESSAGE, not a beat. That's not DISCO MUSIC! Pac's tracks got horrible beats too, at least 70-80% of them. But it's the MESSAGE to be important. More than beats. If you wanna dance and listen to great beats, listen to disco music! I mean.. to have a great beat is only something to HELP a track to be good. But those days i'm listening to a lot of EMPTY tracks! I mean.. tracks with no MESSAGES! Nothing in it. You listen to it and you think about NOTHING. They are not like OG rap tracks. They are missing messages! What's the message of today's tracks? That those rappers got millions? That they are studio gangsters? Studio killers who wanna kill the enemy's crew? That they pimp? That they got a big dick? I'm not hating or something, i'm just making a consideration. DRE and those great producers MADE rap. ELEVATED rap. Made rap commercial and great. But at the same time they are DESTROYING rap. Cause today a beat is more important than the message. Fuck that, i can listen to Pac's accappellas (or OG rap accappellas) and STILL i'll like the track (beacuse of the message, because i can relate the words with the life of the rapper, and of everybody, even mine, in particular situations). But wassup with today's tracks? Not them all. I'm talking about this new "pop gangsta rap". Some of this FAKE shit, East or West. I aint feeling it, AND I KNOW YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Out.

Man i like books too, sometimes. That's not the point. My point is that tracks today are totally EMPTY. Not them all, obviously. When i talk like that i'm generalizing about the status of today's rap, i'm not dissing a particular rapper. I can be a boring guy, talking about Pac and Old School, but remember that they are STILL selling, that Pac last year sold MORE than 2002 Snoop and the whole 2002 Doggy Style Records. And that's not to diss Snoop. Sales doesnt care, but.. the point is that i'm repping a good portion of ppl when i talk about Pac. I'm not talking about an unknown rapper from Italy. You know what i mean? WEST COAST rap is dead. And it's obviously NOT because of wack beats. Cause we've probably never had so many great producers in the West like now. I think that it's because ppl aint feeling this pop rap no more! Dont you think? It's not about reading a book. It's about RAP. An empty track is tight if you wanna just smoke weed or dance, ok. But after 2-3 times you listen to it, you'll forget it. Lemme write the truth! 90% of us aint real FANS! We mp3 fans! We like to COLLECT all the tracks from IRC, to quickly listen to them, to the beats. This beat is tight? Cool. Lemme save it. This album sucks? Lemme download another one. THIS IS WHAT WE ARE, MAN! Nobody can neglect that! NOBODY! (then ok, some1 is different, and that's cool! I'm not dissing, just talking in GENERAL!).

You want my opinion? We do this cause the MOST PART of those rap albums today are EMPTY! Cause one day rap was an instrument to COMMUNICATE something. To rep BLACK ppl. To diss POLITICIANS and POLICE. But not in Ja-Rule's style (just to sell). But beacuse rappers really repped their ghettos, the conditions of their hoods. Their real lifes (just look at Pac). They had troubles with Police so they (NWA) made FUCK THE POLICE. They had troubles with women so they made (Nate & co.) BITCHES AINT SHIT. They had problems with enemies so they made HIT EM UP (Pac). The lost their homies so they made tribute tracks (Crossroads, etc).

What about now? Just analyze the albums of today's pop-rappers. THEY ABSOLUTELY EMPTY! There's nothing about their REAL lifes (but just wack shit like "I'm Capone, Corleone, i smooke 3kg of weed a day, i got a big dick), nothing ORIGINAL. Nothing to repp something. You know what i mean?

I was talking about something DEEPER than beats. If you dont understand (or feel) me here, it's not a problem. It's just you liking beats and today's rappers. But i'm sure a lot of ppl can feel me on this one. WEST needs to CHANGE! TO BACK TO THE ROOTS.

Everybody can wear a bandana, sampling Pac and talking about guns. BUT FUCK THAT. THIS SHIT IS OLD. THERE'S NO MESSAGE NO MORE.
