Mets reject trade for Roy Halladay

Jon Heyman reported this evening the Mets rejected trading Fernando Martinez, Jon Niese, Bobby Parnell, and Ruben Tejada.  Now you see why I hate being a Met fan so much.

seriously, wouldnt you guys WANT the best picther in baseball?

on another note, I thought JP Riccardi was only looking at offers for Roy, not TRYING to make his own deals for him??

I swear, if Doc pitched for the Yanks or Red Sox he would be like 15-0 right now.....What hes accomplished over the last 7 years on the BLUE JAYS is amazing!!

Our owner lost 700 million in the Bernie Madoff scam b/c he is a greedy jew.  Now the organization is fucking. Jon Heyman is reporting now the Mets didn't make the trade because they can't afford the extension.  I hate this fucking team.

As a blue jays fan it sucks to see him go.But at the same time I'm hoping he goes to a contender and wins a championship.Dodgers should go after him.

Toronto said they are going to take the best offer on the table.

if they drop Roy, they will just rebuild anyway & by the time they become relevant again, Roy won't even be his Cy Young self lol.

i think it would be a smart move for Toronto to trade him now & get something in return as opposed to just losing him to free agency & then if that happens the Yankees will just offer him 60 million & set us up for the repeat next year. ;) 8)

the rumor is the jays want a 4-for-1 deal (two prospects & two ML ready players)...if a division rival wants halladay, it would probably have to be 6-for-1, if not more.
