Why would you want to be a slave in the music industry? It makes no sense to sign to a major, unless you are having a crazy buzz like Drake or you are already an established superstar. Video games, commercials, etc. pay more than just releasing regular music.

I'd rather tour the world and make money instead of staying in the West Coast and worry about the rap politics. Just think about the homie TQ... when was the last time he had a major release? TQ still makes a lot of money touring the world and releasing independent albums. Only an idiot would stay in the West Coast, when they have a chance to make a lot of money touring, and promoting around the world.

The West can't make any noise because the WC was backballed and we only have a few artists who have potential to be big mainstream artists.
