Couple of questions concerning Pac OGs
« on: July 28, 2009, 02:37:47 AM »
Shit is confusing sometimes and I wanna have my Pac OG collection as accurate as possible.

1)Which is the true real OG of 4 My Niggaz this one:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/6327039984a198d9/

or this one:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/6327045627da0078/

2)This is the version of Ballad Of A Souljah that I had before the recent leak, is this an official alternate version or OG remake/vibe:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/632705034f86b64c/

3)Which is the true real OG of Letter To My Unborn this one:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/6327061412dae31e/

or this one:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/63270681d4a27287/

4)Which is the true real OG of Thug In Me; the one where the MJ sample is played clearer or the one where the MJ sample isn't as evident. Also is the one with the violins fanmade or official?

5)Tongue Kissing: Death Row era track yes/no?

6)Um Dumpin: does this truly feature Kurupt or has his verse from Locc'd Out Hood been mixed in?

7)Which is the true real OG of There U Go this one:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/63271262d748c593/

or this one:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/63271317a6f2c3b8/

Thanks in advance.

the true OG of Thug In Me is the one with the evident MJ sample (the one that was on that Pen and Paper bootleg)

True OG to Letter 2 My Unborn carries the same sample as Wonder If Heaven Got a Ghetto. Can't access zshare where I'm at, so I can't answer any other question

Yeah I like the other one better maybe it's because I'm used to that one and it's in better quality. I also prefer the very subtle MJ sample instead of the obvious one in the OG.

1. They're definitely different rips of the song. I'm not 100% sure which one is the truer original, but I think its the second one.
2. Definitely an OG vibe. Probably made by Dominator, judging from the tags. You can see that he simply layered the OG sample over the filtered (center channel extracted) retail version.
3. The second one. This came out around Christmas 2006 on Remembering Makaveli Vol. 3. One of my all-time favorite OGs...
4. The one with the evident MJ sample. The version where the sample is removed is a DR-remix created after 2pac died.
5. Yes. Also one of my all-time favorite OGs...
6. Yes.
7. Neither. The first one is my OG vibe and the second is King Dizzy's OG vibe. Here's the scoop: the original leaked without 2pac's verse - with the original beat and the Outlawz included - the same story as Penitentiary Bound. I just used filtering techniques to make an instrumental and then added 2pac's verse to the incomplete original. King Dizzy recreated the retail instrumental and changed some things up. So in conclusion, my OG vibe is the closest thing available to the true OG, and a lot of people have mislabeled it as that. If you want the version that actually leaked (the one without 2pac), which is the most true OG as there is minimum fan alteration, lemme know!

Interesting stuff props for the info!  8)

Only I still don't have a clear answer concerning Kurupt's verse on Um Dumpin, real or fanmixed (I think the latter but I wanna know for sure)?

You did a damn good job with There U Go sounds like a real OG. Does anyone actually know what the beats to Still Ballin and War Gamez sound like so that people such as yourself could recreate the songs? Oh and if you could upload the untouched There U Go would be great!
