Colletti said that they were willing to give up 5 players but Riccardi wanted 6.  Or 4 prospects plus a ML ready player.  Riccardi should have gone for that 5 player deal, the Dodgers still have a good farm system and no doubt that 2 or maybe even 3 of those will be regulars.


The big question is for Riccardi is are those 5 players worth the compensation pick for losing a Type A free agent next year?  Who knows, I really have no idea how the upcoming MLB draft is looking like.
