Official Raekwon "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt II" Discussion Thread

After three listen, the ONLY track I'm not feeling is Surgical Gloves. Everything else is either nice or vintage Raekwon. Very dope album, gonna burn it, bump it in the ride  and see if it stands for at least 2 weeks

Damn, I haven't heard shit like this in a looong time. On track 13 right now and everything has been hard (only complaint so far is that the Alchemist track doesn't have a Cuban Linx feeling-dope track, though).

for a minute i thought it was a flawless album.

It isnt a bad track though, kinda agree that it doesnt fit into the style and flow of the album,


After first listen i loved it, will give a better review after another couple of listens tomorow, off to bed now

Here's a couple more: no U-God, and no verse from RZA (except for his Black Mozart outro). U-God and RZA had classic verses on the first album. Also, I was looking forward to hearing "Rockstars And Smoking Barrells" (but it got cut, due to sample clearence issues I think). These minor complaints don't bring the album down, though. I'll def. be playing this for many years to come. "Kiss The Ring" (what a great way to end the album, fck'n classic). Raekwon did it.

Definitely one of the best releases this year. Beats are very good and Raekwon kills the verses.

He's just a story teller so if you can view it like that it's easier to listen.

I've been bumping the original Cuban Linx album in anticipation of this. Man I'm gonna wait to cop it, I haven't even heard the snippets yet. I'm curious about the RZA and Dre joints especially.
