Alright, Who Really Got The Beats By Dre Headphones?

I'm in New York on Thursday for a week and I wanna pick up a pair of these and take advantage of the $-£ exchange rate.

But before I spend 300 notes on them, someone tell me, are they actually any good?

apparently the sony mdr-v6 sound very similar for a fraction of the price. but i kinda want to get some to see what they are like and as a fashion item they are cool too. not too keen on the compulsory noise reduction though.

buy the inear headphones, much more relaxed and half the price.

That's pretty much what I heard. I could get some sick Denon's or Grado's for the same price, but I will feel a little disappointed if i don't get the fashionable Dre ones lol.
I'm not too keen on the active noise cancelling either, but if artists are actually using them in the studio, they can't be all bad.

I looked at those a couple of months ago, but got the Sony MDR EX500's instead. I think I made the right choice, and saved £60.
