But the talk box and auto-tune are not the same thing. It's two different sounds and a lot of the cats who were doing the talkbox shit back in the day were doing it with the support and sometimes direct input of Roger Troutman. "Autotune" has been around for awhile. Granted, it invaded rap fairly recently but if you listen to a lot of the pop acts that were coming out around that whole Britney-NSync-Backstreet Boy TRL time period from the late 90's to early 2000's, a lot of their records were recorded using AutoTune. To say that the new generation of "bitchmade fake fucks" are using it because the O.G.'s aren't around to stop them is silly. The so-called originators of "Autotune" or the people who first brought it to the public concienseness are artists like Cher and Britney Spears. The latter of whom is still in her late 20's. People like Frampton and the Troutmans used the "talk box" to bring the sound of vocals into their instrumentation. "Auto Tune" is used as a way of giving to give pop singer's vocals a pitch perfect sound.

But nobody thinks it's the TALK BOX but people who are uneducated on music. Very few of whom are artists. If anyone were to speak up, people would just look at them like they were an idiot because it's not the same thing. I really don't see where this is even an argument.
