Allen Iverson Says on Twitter He’s Headed to Memphis Grizzlies

"Sept. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Allen Iverson is joining the Memphis Grizzlies, the free agent guard said on the social networking Web site Twitter.

“God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career,” the 34-year-old Iverson tweeted. He also said he met with Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley, general manager Chris Wallace and coach Lionel Hollins."

OK so i fallow B ball but iim not even close to a expert. A.I was always the man, i know hes getting older but what the hell happned how come he is bouncing from team to team now and dropped from a 20 million + salary to 2-3 million?

^ Well last year he just didn't fit in with the Pistons team, they couldn't play him and Hamilton at the same time cause they're both pretty weak on D, and Stuckey wasn't much better, so basically the team that had always been a defensive powerhouse really lost a step and AI got a lot of blame for it. He also expressed that it was hard for him to come off the bench and then went down with a bad back, just not a good year for him. It also didn't help how well Chauncey did with the Nuggets after the trade. AI can still be a productive player though, Grizzlies have a real young athletic team that could run the up tempo offense that he loves.

no true carrier on that team, unless ariza and brooks, shane bust a miracle. i mean i would think suns have a better chance to hold a playoff spot than the rockets. suns dont have shaq,  but they still got nash, barbosa, richardson, stoudimire. but the rockets going to be playing without their 2 all stars

yes it has, it was confirmed a month before the post season when he tried to do some fancy shit and fucked up his knee when the franchise told him to not do that shit.

yea hes out for the first half of the season indefinitley.   they lost 3 all star caliber players this post season, i have  good feeling rockets are going to be out.

^Phoenix and Clippers are still better than Memphis if they dont land Iverson, so i dont see them being a playoff team without this acquisition.
