Any chance of putting up pics from the night? Like Paul said too, I'd kill to live in LA just for 1 night in times like this. Rhythm-alism was one of his best albums (despite the gay blue/pink looking 80's pop retro cover lol) and would love to hear it in 2009
Just Got home, The show ended around 2:10 or so,it was a pretty long show.. 1500 or nuthin were up there doin theyre thangon the 1st set..after theyre 2nd set.. where uncle chucc and j black did theyre stuff to with 1500the curtains closed up.. and the wait for Quik began..then after waiting a bit You hear An introduction for DJ Quik in a Crazy ass Robotic voice which reminded me of that old skool musicvoice style, it wasnt talk box nor autotune..but yeah finally the curtains opened up the band was setBattlecat was DJ'ing Terrace was the one doing the roboticand the band just played a smooth as intro.. all i remember was terrace continualy saying DJ Quik.. shit sounded nice though..Finally Quik Came out and from what i remember i think he started out withWe Still Party" then followed with some other tracks then introduced Domino, where he played Ghetto Jam" and sweet potato pie.. and after that played a smoothtrack called "All i do" Quik performed it with him.. Nice track i tell you!!!!!!and from what they said domino said he has an album comin with DJ Quik..We'll see..Then from there.. Quik performed a few more tracks and i remember Dwayne Wiggins from toni tony toneand played some of hits.. and then I remeber Quik Bringin out this dude, called "Trevor Wesley"not many guests tonight.. But the show was bad ass.. and after chopped it up with quik a bit..and he was tellin me bout his new albumand he is gettin along 2nd II None..
