if you already have something written, but switch it up somehow.  maybe a different beat, maybe you add a couple punchlines or something....that ISNT a freestyle.  that is a REMIX.  lol  

a freestyle is a spur the moment punchline.  a freestyle is rhyming about your opponant.  a freestyle is rapping about the fucking car across the street.  it doesnt matter.  anything written cannot be a real freestyle.

if you want it to sound polished and have no slip ups, then why even call it a "freestyle"?  call it something else.  call it "wildstyle" or some shit.  

id RATHER hear a rapper fuck up a line in a true freestyle and see/listen to him correct himself.  you ever seen that?  sometimes the wildest punchlines come after a fuck up.

take 8 Mile for example, if you could find me ANYBODY in the world who could really do what they did at the end of that movie, i would call him the greatest of all time lol.

even the "lunch truck" scene with Xzibit, was REALLY good for like just spur of the moment.

well in Dear Mama, Pac couldn't go & talk about how lyrically amazing he was.

in New York State of Mind, Nas couldn't start rapping about what he had for lunch.

songs have direction, meaning; whereas freestyles you can just jump around & say whatever flows & sounds good.

if youre looking for something like that, then why even look for a freestyle?  just look up a regular song. 

because the two links posted in this thread aren't songs lol. they are more like "here is a pen & a pad, go in that room. take 10-15 minutes & write what comes to mind & then rap it".
