It doesn't sound like those songs are mixed properly.  Doggystyle and Asleep On Death Row sound like they're lacking treble and they been slowed down slightly.  And O.G. sounds the worst of all, the song would be a-million times easier/better to listen to if those strings in the backround weren't so overshadowing in the beat.

I'd be kinda dissapointed to have some songs mixed half ass, with all of this technology and their millions of reels I'm sure they can improvise alot better than what this sounds like.  I want the raw versions like everybody but clean the shit up.  The rest of the album sounds good and polished pretty good (The Root Of Evil sounded like it was lacking a little treble too).

All we have heard are myspace rips and streaming mp3 snippets off of amazon so far. I'd wait till you get the actual CD to pass judgment. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying we don't know for sure yet.

Snippets sound great.  Can't wait to hear the whole thing.  Correct me if I'm wrong though, but isn't one track just a re-titled "Nigga Named Dave" rather than a different song about Dave?  Maybe it's a remix or something but it didn't sound all that different to me, from the snippet.

From those clips I'd surmise that the mixing has at the very least improved,  and that the music has been mastered. Like Dj Coma said you really have to hold out judgment given the encoding on those songs but as far as I can tell "Doggystyle" sounds fine. However songs like "OG" sound like they have some mixing issues indeed.  :-\

yeah, Rage's album is poppin' wit extra butter fo sho.  lol   real talk tho

And something tells me that the mixing won't sound too much different.  Trust me, i can tell the difference between 96/128/etc.  I hope they improve on it tho, especially OG.  I'll fuck around and keep skippin' that track for that reason alone... it's unlistenable.

I agree that O.G. isn't mixed quite right. I do notice that while listening to it on the headphones it sounds pretty bad but when I play it over my speakers it sounds a lot better.
