who started these "trends"?

-whats good mayne
(cuz now snoop is talkin like that but he wasnt before)

-the grill that people from the south, and almost everywhere have now

so im jus wonderin does anyone know where these started?
cuz i always thought it was the bay area talkin like that but the grill im not sure if the south were doin that first

mayne was popularized from scarface.  the movie, not the rapper.  tony montana was saying "man" in the movie, but with the accent it was "mayne" "mang", and since every rapper wants to be scarface, they say it.

the grills blew up because of paul wall.

nah i know scarface was sayin that back then...but what region started sayin it
cuz to me it looks like the bay area started sayin it first and then others caught up and started sayin it as if it wasnt cool or right to say it at first

and the grills.....someone from the bay years ago told me that the bay area started that
i think the bay area also wants to take credit for the big wheels on rides

Retrace the Earlier album with a Scarface reference and you'll see his influnce was huge. Hell even Ice Cube's The Predator had a scarface reference (wasn't mayne though). Fuck Dope man has a SCARFACE references. Basically though I think it came later in the 90s.

its jus weird snoop and others werent talkin like that and then all of a sudden they are...im not complainin why they are jus wonderin where it started since the bay area claims it started there...and i jus never heard muffuccaz in la sayin that shit or wearin them grills
