I am...looks like it'll be a good compilation.  True, many of the songs i've got 100 times already, but I don't care.  I love how half the people on here act like they're ballers and stuff, but then whine about dropping 40.00 on this, as if that's going to break them or something.  The last song, the Soopafly song alone, is worth the money right there.  I'm excited to hear the LBC Crew tracks as well.

it's not so much the pricetag since a lot of us bought bootlegs for quadruple that amount.  the problem is that it's an inferior product.  the box set was originally billed as all new material but since then it's been diluted down to a handful of songs that all boners for soopafly aside, look pretty mediocre.

i bought the dre, bought the snoop, but will be passing on the box set.

Artwork actually looks pretty cool.  So far, the artwork for "Lost Sessions" is the only one that I haven't really cared for.  It just looked rushed.  They at least did center Snoop's name on the actual cover, which looks a lot better than the early version of the artwork that was floating around the net a few weeks before the album dropped.  But it still doesn't look as good as the cover for this box set or the "Chronic: Re-Lit" cover.

If we didn't have albums released 2 to 3 times and several "Greatest Hits" compilations through out the years, this set would be more appealing. Not sure what my take on it is yet, but I know I want those unreleased joints.

Yeah, it's a little annoying that they've included the "greatest hits" on here when they've put those tracks out over and over.  I'm guessing they were pressured by E1 to include some songs that casual fans would be familiar with, in addition to the unreleased tracks that the more hardcore fans would want.  Even using that reasoning though, I'm not sure why they couldn't at least limit the already released songs to one disc though, instead of two.
Even so, I still plan on buying this set.  Overall, it looks like a nice set.  And there are still plenty of unreleased tracks included.

If that's the case, that's still a terrible idea. By including so many discs of released material, that only raises the price. In a time when CD sales are at an all time low, what casual Death Row fan is planning on dropping $45 on 10 - 15 year old material. It makes no sense. Casual listeners can pick up one of the already released Greatest Hits CDs for $10 and have all the classics that they remember being on the radio. I think WIDE Awake may be a little arrogant in assuming that endless Death Row junkies are going to rush out to purchase a hand ful of songs for $45. That's just my opinion though.

By the way, I'm not dissing their efforts. I think what they are doing is great for collectors and long-term fans. It's also great for the artists who have chosen to involve themselves in this process. However, I am just being critical of their choices. I feel as if they've miscalculated a few steps, but I hope it works out for them in the end.

That's just a guess.  Because there are a lot of people who buy greatest hits compilations.  But I agree that it's a stretch to think someone would pay $45.00 to own the "Greatest Hits" when they could probably still find copies of that "15 Years On Death Row Compilation" for less than half the price.  Personally, I would rather have all four discs be all unreleased material.
But whatever the actual reason is, hopefully they select some of the lesser known videos for the set too.  Because a lot of the more common videos have been released multiple times too.
