If we didn't have albums released 2 to 3 times and several "Greatest Hits" compilations through out the years, this set would be more appealing. Not sure what my take on it is yet, but I know I want those unreleased joints.

Yeah, it's a little annoying that they've included the "greatest hits" on here when they've put those tracks out over and over.  I'm guessing they were pressured by E1 to include some songs that casual fans would be familiar with, in addition to the unreleased tracks that the more hardcore fans would want.  Even using that reasoning though, I'm not sure why they couldn't at least limit the already released songs to one disc though, instead of two.
Even so, I still plan on buying this set.  Overall, it looks like a nice set.  And there are still plenty of unreleased tracks included.

If that's the case, that's still a terrible idea. By including so many discs of released material, that only raises the price. In a time when CD sales are at an all time low, what casual Death Row fan is planning on dropping $45 on 10 - 15 year old material. It makes no sense. Casual listeners can pick up one of the already released Greatest Hits CDs for $10 and have all the classics that they remember being on the radio. I think WIDE Awake may be a little arrogant in assuming that endless Death Row junkies are going to rush out to purchase a hand ful of songs for $45. That's just my opinion though.

By the way, I'm not dissing their efforts. I think what they are doing is great for collectors and long-term fans. It's also great for the artists who have chosen to involve themselves in this process. However, I am just being critical of their choices. I feel as if they've miscalculated a few steps, but I hope it works out for them in the end.

What "mothafuckaz" are you talking about?  I already said I was going to buy the box set.  I bought "Chronic: Re-Lit."  I bought "The Lost Sessions Vol.1," and compared to a lot of other people on here I've had very little bad to say about any of these releases.  I did say that I thought the artwork for the Snoop album seemed rushed, but otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it.  I don't have any complaints about "Chronic: Re-Lit."  And as far as the box set. I did say I would have preferred the set to be entirely unreleased material, but in my original post I still said that I planned on buying it.  I don't think my opinion of Wideawake could be that critical if I've supported every Death Row project they've put out, thus far.

Effex is cool, man. I understand where you're coming from because some people have really been running Wideawake down, but Effex isn't one of them people.  I agree with the spirit of what you're saying though.  People have to realize, Wideawake is new at this.  They've only put out two projects so far.  Yeah, they're not perfect.  But give them a little bit of time to work the bugs out.  If after a while, they're still having major problems you can always stop supporting them.  But being that they're trying to give the fans what they want, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt.  At least for a while.

Since when has a new 23 track album been worth $45? I thought you americans payed about $9 average for a new album. I think you need to get your dick out of Suge's and Wide awake's arses.

The boxset looks disappointing and seems more like a cash grab than anything. Only one of the Soopafly tracks is unreleased. That Type Of Flow was already released on Dat Whoopty Woop. They should have looked at the discographies of the artists before attempting to release some of these tracks, just to make sure they aren't double-dipping the fans. They should have made the boxset a 3 disc set with the first 2 discs as unreleased (no already released material) and the third disc as video. Sorry wideawake, no soup for you this time, maybe next release if it isn't a wack cash grab.

The unreleased Soopafly song is worth the 45.00 alone.  Everything else you are getting are bonus tracks, just look at it that way.  I hope they put the video for "Like It Or Not" on there.

On a side note, does anyone know if WideAwake can release unreleased 2Pac video footage, or does that have to go through Afeni too?  As I'd love to see the "Toss It Up" beach version video on the DVD, as well as the full video of Made Niggaz, as I think the one on Death Row Uncut was cutoff towards the end.  And I think there's an unreleased All About U video with the third clean solo Pac verse on there instead of the Top Dogg stuff they put on the original.

lmao trust me, only guy who only loves Suge is that Biggiesy untouchable guy (used 2 have his pic in his sig 3 TIMES at once ffs). During the 1990s sure, post - 1997 lol no one is riding for him now. Considering he Signed Realest, Top Dogg, VK, and never released any albums lol
