Well Steven Gerrard ran 11.79km per game, with 1.07km of this at at "three-quarters of sprint pace or faster"

that's pretty impressive, but i haven't seen it.

like i said, i said this off an observation of a game on ESPN lol.

Baseball: Japan > America. U can also argue Cuba, South Korea & Venezuela > America
Hockey: Canada > Russia > USA
Basketball - USA doesn't dominate like they used to anymore. Argentina, Italy & Spain really compete with them.

agreed, minus basketball; Olyimpic Gold counts for something.

but Baseball is the biggest sport in Japan, Cuba, South Korea & Venezuela, moreso than Soccer.

& Hockey is the biggest sport in Canada & Russia, moreso than Soccer.

i don't know if i can explain that into a way for you to understand, but the way i have it in my head, it makes sense lol.

like Brazil or Ireland for example, both of their biggest sports is Soccer, but you won't see them playing in any of the sports you named above, whereas Baseball is more played in Japan or Cuba than Soccer so the fact that they are better than us in Baseball doesn't really bother me.
Olympic Gold does count but USA doesn't run shit like they used to; Argentina, Italy & Spain certainly compete. Baseball is still predominately known as an "American" sport; so if I was American and other countries are running Baseball like they do, it would bother me lol.

if the field was smaller & there were more attempted shots, i would enjoy it.

but i will admit, that shootout at the end of that game the other day, was fucking intense! :o ;D

ehh the way i look at it, Baseball is derived from Cricket & Football from Rugby.

Basketball is the true American sport lol.

To play football at the highest level you have to be ridicously fit. Not just to be able to run but to have the fitness level so that you can technically perform.

I play 6 aside so the pitch is half the size, now i can run all day but when you get tired your touch goes.

It may not appear so on TV but there is a huge amount of movement off the ball.  The camera may focus on a defender with the ball, but 60 yards up the pitch the forward is making a run down the wing. Obviously the other teams defender is following him, but you wouldnt see this.

But you both can't deny the awesomeness of both goals.

That is true.
