then all the "*" come out & the "if's" & "but's", where "if" he didn't do steriods, he couldn't of done this & how players back in the day didn't have access to them so how is it fair that these guys get the advantage.

Players back in the day didn't have access to Tommy John Surgery neither.

Exactly. Give any modern day athlete the sports medicine, training schedules, personal training, of the old days and see how well they do compared to how well they do with them. There is no argument between the eras, and no point of one. We can only live in the now. And now we have steroids (as far back as the 60s actually) and they should be used by anyone that wants to use them. If Paul Pierce refused whatever meds they gave his knee a couple years back because he felt it was unnatural and cheating, and the old players didn't have access to this, and Boston lost because of that, everyone and their mother would have called him an idiot. Steroids are the same thing.

but that just brings you back, sometimes.
surgery brings you back from injury & steriods enhance your overall play, to me those are just two different things.
& Shallow, the average age of losing your virginity just keeps getting younger & younger.
i mean it could just be kids lying saying they got laid when they were 13, but it's a statistic.
if you made it legal, 90% of MLB players would use them, like 95% of Minor Leaguers, most college kids, esspecially ones who have hopes to get drafted or just on the cusp & SO many high school students who all feel like they could make a career out of sports.
plus, it's cheating your natural talent and ablities; make it legal and the competition to become a middle linebacker would be insane, anybody with a decent height to them has a chance to make it to the NFL.
not to even get into the side effects of steriods, if you want a world with more roided up, irritable kids & more kids dying from it, smart to support.

What makes it immoral? You are simply providing your body with the energy to maintain peak physical condition. I don't take them, but I don't have to. If I was a pro-athlete and the big game was up and I was sore and beaten up the week before the game I would take them no problem if it meant I would be in game shape, rather than not take them and have the other team win only because I couldn't compete at the level I was supposed to be able to.
When a pro gets injured on the field today, they take him to the back and fill him up with all kids of legal drugs to take down the swelling and such, and those drugs have long term health effects on the athlete. Why is that ok, but steroids is not?

If you constantly take that stuff you have far less off-games and you are able to put more energy into the games. Thus having a huge advantage over people who are just as good or better than you, yet you perform on a more consistant level just because you take stuff that doesn't require skill or talent to take. At a certain point, especially in sports that don't require much creativity like that Armstrong bike niggas, it becomes more of a sport of competing doctors than a sport of competing athletes.
