"MARY JANE" is fucking insane.  Some other hott tracks too.  I boycotted it because Warren wasn't a producer, but these old Re-Lit and Lost Session Tracks have me back in to Snoop, and damn this 213 album is DOPE!

Agreed. I liked it a lot, but for some reason it took me a while to realise, ha.

Agreed...i was pissed at first because of no Warren production, so i was in a bad mood when first listening to the album...but now when i play it, it is pretty good after all.  Like you said, it had the potential to be great, turned out just pretty good though.  Best part was the UK version had a Soopafly song on it "Whistle While You Hustle" which made the album great since The Man Soopafly was on it.

No doubt, the 213 album was bangin and underrated as fuck..........the fact that the producer of the group wasnt used as a producer left a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouth and had them pre-judging. warren remixed a couple tracks, though, and came out with a better version of "Groupie Luv" 8)

Okka

The 213 album was GREAT, people just started hatin' it before even hearin' it cause of Warren G not producin' on it.

yeh, the 213 album was dope, but it was disapointing that warren g didnt produce on the album.

if warren and snoop release that new 213 album in dedication to nate dogg, it would be dope to have warren g production on it, but if it dont have g-dubb production, as long as it sounds bangin westcoast gfunk style, that is cool with me. would prefer it had warren production on it, but just as long as he makes the beats banging westcoast gfunk style, and not popish/mainstream like more than half of warren's latest alum.

It was average, and I'm saying that after I bought it and thought it was weak at first

I didn't cop it strictly because they didn't let Warren produce.  I mean what the fuck, that's like not lettin Snoop rap or Nate sing.  Snoop's a fuckin idiot for doing that.  But Snoops been doing wack shit for a long time so it's no surprise.

And I agree, Warren's remix of Groupie Luv was dope as fuck.  It shoulda been a whole album w/ those beats.  Snoop royally fucked the 213 project up.

Mista Rosa

i copped the cd and i like it very much. what was fucked up is that it is warren g himself that introduce snoop and 213 to the world. he made it happen he was the one who believed the most in the project. and 15 years later they decide to do this project which is very symbolic: a hard copy of a 213 record sold worlwilde. they had worked hard and could make this happen. and you got people ( snoop ) that say: "look warren, you ain't gonna produce shit on the record, we gonna have kanye west, neptunes, tekniek..". that was disrespectful.he brought you to the game and that's what you do?
"There's one more thing I'd really like for you to do, never leave me alone..."

I particularly liked the intro track, that beat was real smooth and they should have rapped over it  8)

I always thought this was a dope album, front to back. But that "Groupie Luv" remix shits on the original.
