It didn't take long for wide receiver Chris Chambers to find work.
The veteran Chambers, released Monday by the San Diego Chargers, was claimed on waivers by the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

i was always a fan of this guy, just a solid wideout; good move by the Chiefs.

he lookin' like a TE more these days than a WR lol. That's why he got cut. Chiefs stay lookin' on that WR wire for other teams garbage lol. Wade was a good pickup though.

122 yards in 7 games, yeah good pick up. ::) He should of been demoted to 3rd WR, not cut. I think the Chargers needed to make room to get another DT because of injuries.

i always believed that WR's are as good as the QB.

not saying Phillip Rivers isn't good, but if they don't try to get him the ball, he isn't going to have good numbers.

two years ago, if you said the Giants Steve Smith was a scrub, a lot of people would agree with you, but get rid of some WR's & he becomes number 1, he can put up Pro-Bowl recieving stats.

^but Chambers is way past his prime. I believe there is a reason you don't see Rivers going to him as much. The coaches and players see more in practice and in the game then we do, and they make these decisions based on that.

i guess, but for the Chiefs, maybe they can work him into the offense.

Roy Williams is another example, had an amazing year two or three years ago on the Lions, went to the Cowboys, didn't get thrown too with TO, Witten & all the running & didn't produce.

but yeah, Chris is getting up there in age.
