Rihanna Speaks Out On Assault, Brown Camp Fires Back
« on: November 08, 2009, 01:13:15 AM »
Another sneak peek of Rihanna's "20/20" interview hit the internet today (Nov. 6), and finds the pop star speaking explicitly about the night ex-boyfriend Chris Brown assaulted her. The 20-year-old confirmed the rumor that it all began over an argument about a text message Brown had recieved, and things getting "ugly" at that point.

"I caught him in a lie and he wouldn't tell the truth, so, I wouldn't drop it," Rihanna told Diane Sawyer in a clip that aired on "Good Morning America." "I couldn't take that he kept lying to me and he couldn't take that I wouldn't drop it because obviously his back was against the wall -- the truth was right here in the text message. So, it accelarated towards him being violent towards me and it was ugly."

After confirming original reports that he'd bitten and punched her to the point she had a bloody mouth, Rihanna said that Brown had completely "blacked out. It wasn't the same person that says I love you. It was not those… eyes," she said. "He had no soul in his eyes -- just blank. He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him. All I kept thinking all the time, 'When is it going to stop? When it is going to stop?'"

Although the two briefly reunited after the February assault, Rihanna says she knew she had to make a decision to walk away. "He didn't accept that very well. He obviously didn't want us to be apart, but I knew I had to make a decision for me," she said.

Rihanna says she decided to speak publicly about the incident as an example for others. "I knew I had to do this in order to move on for me and in order for my fans to move on with me because it would always be a question in their mind," she said. "I don't want that five years from now every time they see Rihanna, they think of Chris Brown beating me. That's not who I am. It's just one thing that happened to me."

Following the preview of Rihanna's interview on 20/20,  Brown's camp took to Twitter and accused Rihanna of lying and being a different person for the cameras. "I wish dancers can speak about things that really go on! Let me just say, Chris Brown was pushed to the extreme!" tweeted one of Brown's dancers.

"Shame on Rihanna," tweeted a Brown confidant, while another accused Rihanna of trying to drum up publicity for her new album, posting: "Riri just needs away 2. Get her career back up."

Removed 12 worthless replies from Jaydc & Elano. You should stay in the G-spot Jaydc, if you can't stop stalking/sniping Elano.

On-topic: Chris Brown replying to anything Rihanna says is useless, he will forever be branded a woman-beater.
The only positive thing he can do, is to release more nude Rihanna pix.  :P

hell i think HE IS the victim now! maybe not when it happened but it's fucked up the way everyone is attacking him. he hit a woman, which is wrong no doubt, however it's wrong to beat on ANYBODY not just women. if chris brown beat the shit out of some dude people would be pattin him on the back. women aren't innocent and sacred like society makes them out to be.
