House Of Pain- Legend

Man I had to fire this one back up. Personal classic, DJ Lethal is a slept on producer and HOP is a slept on group discography wise. More than a 1 hit wonder.

Word, DJ Lethal is slept on, I think the whole Limp Bizkit run may have destroyed his credibility

To be honest, people was sleeping on him before that. That group at least got his name out there but if you ask most they will remember him from Limp Bizkit and not HOP.

Lethal was alright but lets not forget DJ.MUGGS produced most of there tracks/hits as well as the mixing. I think both House of Pain & Funkdoobiest were not the same when MUGGS & The Soul Assassin camp did not executive produce there albums. Here is the CD single of Legend I bought it back in the day for "IT AIN'T A CRIME *remix*" That track is a classic in my eyes D.J. Muggs sampled that Red Hot Chilli Peppers track "Under The Bridge". The Diamond D version of word is bond is nice also.

That was one thing I digged about that camp. Muggs was your main producer, but HOP had Lethal, Funkdoobiest had Ralph M, Whooliganz had Alchemist. All those producers, including T Ray were understudies, but could more than hold they own by themselves. HOP's 3rd album was produced front to back by Lethal and it was dope also.

Yeah I own the single to Legend also. Muggs had some ill remixes, like the one to Tequila Sunrise and Throw Ya Set In The Air, Illusions, etc.

HOP's 1st 2 records were good but the 3rd was garbage IMO. Muggs and Danny Boy were all but absent. The La Coka Nostra CD is good though.

Their 3rd was a completely different sound but it had some BANGERS on it

Heart Full Of Sorrow
Fed Up
Pass The Jinn
Have Nots

More of a east coast sound to it. Divine Styler and Cockni O Dire were on this album alot. Divine had some gems on here, so that meant less Danny Boy lyrics. All the Soul Assassins group were build up like that, 1 dominant MC and 1 other one with a DJ.

HOP- Everlast, Danny Boy, Lethal (Danny did not rap alot)

Cypress- B, Sen, Muggs (Sen same deal, even Muggs would rap sometimes, same with Lethal)

Funkdoobiest- Son Doobie, Tomohawk Funk, Ralph M (Tomohawk did not rap alot, but I digged his raps when he would)
