Any Canadian Artists Here?

If so, how do you go about copyrights? Mainly for lyrics, but eventually beats also. I'm a lil confused trying to figure this out.

yeah homie..then they give you the actual site for copyrighting, forms, etc..its kinda confusing, or maybe i just lack concentration haha..

EDIT: it seems the socan site got a lil more user friendly since my last visit..ima check it out again..

no where at the moment..im doin my own thing, not working with any known cats really..but i just wanna protect my creations you know? like that shit you write from the heart, that youre way too proud of lol. i wanna shoot a few beats to a few dudes for mixtapes, but would like them to be covered, feel me?

Ha ya man I hear that. Technically and legally the second you create something it is yours and under copyright. Socan will help if you want to officially register stuff. At the moment if you're just doing your own thing you probably don't need to worry too much about any official documentation but that's your perogative.
