how do you "punish" a player on a call that wasn't made; it's not his fault.

note: i say "punish" because it's said that tomorrow they "might" punish him & if they do, it isn't certain what they will do; so i can't say the punishment will be severe or not.

i doubt they will though if they do itll just make uefa look like theyve got a 'guilty conscience'...some have said the refs have leaned towards the bigger sides and suggest uefa had advised them to do so...and no punishment is going to make any of the irish any happier...there not going to the world cup

i say they just do a rematch or at least force FIFA to make use of the hundred or so cameras in the stadium & use instant replay to challange a call or in this case, a no call.
