Y'all gotta remember that this song was done during the "2001" recordings and that it's gonna sound played out because we keep hearing all of dre's beats that sound alike.  I guarantee you that if dre released this song on the 2001 album with hittman and rakim on it everybody would call it a classic. Remember  that this song is 3 years old and y'all are still on it's nutzzzzz.

Fuck the beat, the original was betterm the raps on here are ill from all of em.  I still think Dre has the best flow...it is is best since like "Forgot About Dre."  Jay-Z and Rakim both do a great job too, but the award goes to Dre.

"You was puttin Peter Pan poster in you room" - that line by Jay, he says it kind it off key, and it sounds very familiar.  Didn't Eminem say a rap in that tone,  because I swear Jay ripped this from someone.

I like all sorts of music no matter from what coast it is from.  How can you class a song that is on a Jay Z album as West Coast Music n e way. Just because its produced by dre dont mean shit to me, I dont like the beat, no because its west coast or not, just because simple I DONT LIKE IT.

After all the hype I have been hearing from this board, after all the threads and posts about THE WATCHER 2 this THE WATCHER 2 that, I downloaded it.

Now the way you guys have talked about this track I expect nothing but straight heat you know a track that I would bump for days on end and nothing else would ever get a look in.  I have downloaded the song and all I can say is OVERATED.

The way everyone on this board descirbed that song was so overrated that I am actually stunned to be saying that.  The song is average IMO and I could easily bump The Watcher off 2001 for so much longer than this.

The beat is awful, I didnt even find myself nodding my head to it or tapping my feat to it, I think that Jay Z's rappin is ok but I would love to see him perform that live because I swear there moments in his what 1.30 second verse where he dont breath for like 30 seconds.  Even tho his rappin was good I dont think it was his style at all.

Truth was awful on the hook, it just sounded basic and boring.  And there was nothing new from Dre, still rhyming about himself, boasting about himself.

Rakim impressed me cause at least his verse was well dropped and the lyrics where well written and it flowed good but really the only part of this track that I really felt was the:

Every where that I go, aint the same as before,
People I used to know, just dont know me know more,
But everywhere that I go, I got people I know, who got people they know,
So I suggest you lay low!

Everything else just sucked.  Ahhhhh the beat is giving me a headache.

The song might as well of been a totally new song and IMO the Term THE WATCHER shouldent of been used in this song at all because this track does THE WATCHER now justice at all.

This for me has most definetly been one of the most over-rated hyped up songs that I have listened to since I have been here at WCC, I dont know if everyone was just like wow, its dre so I'll just say its good or if people actually did feel it as much as they said they did.  But I know one thing for sure this song will not be getting much play from me.

i was sayn that shit earlier this month
