I'd put Cee-Lo's first album up there...did they have Common "Be"?

I stopped taking Rolling Stone's lists for music in general seriously a long time ago. This list proves no better, only that the list creator must really like Radiohead and Kanye West.

No Snoop Dogg, The Game, Linkin Park or Travis and the list is a joke, IMO.

There's no way a list like this can't be a joke. I could sit in a room for months with 1000 albums and just listen and grade. I could take all the time and care in the world to put a list together. But when it's all over, it'll only be the 100 albums I like best. And there will be plenty of awesome albums not on there that I've either never heard or didn't listen to enough to appreciate. And fans of those albums will call my list a joke. There will also be fans of specific genres that hate or don't get some of the genres I like and call some of the albums I put on there disgraceful. You cannot win with a top 100 list of albums with in a specific genre, so there's no point when you're crossing genres.

not a bad list.  hard to hate on but hard to accept like

i find it hard to swallow to see jay albums up there but no Nas who I think is the superior artist

it's clearly a commercial list but it says tons that they can connect with many
