You say that he raped the St. Valentines Day Bossacre, but Crooked I allowed DJ Nik Bean to put it out that way, so technically that's not rape. That's what the artist wanted.

DJ Nik Bean helped push the project further than it would have gone by just dropping a link to it on the forum on the day of it's release.

Besides there are only 4 or 5 songs from that which didn't leak untagged, what's the big deal?

If you can get in contact with the artist he/she might just let you have it for free. It's on the DJ if he sells it especially if the mixtape was free to begin with but ur more concerned about it being tag free so either find the artist, pay the DJ or stop complainin'. Think of it as ransom

It's just about respect for a person's life, period. When u hear somebody might have died, u don't say "that sucks BUT". There is no "but" dude, Nik Bean is respected by pretty much every artist I've come across, his mixtapes have helped spread West Coast music to a lot of people who wouldn't have heard it otherwise (tags or no tags), and he also happens to be a good personal friend of mine.

He's just a cool ass dude, period, and it would be a terrible loss FOR west coast music if something happened to him. That's all I gotta say!

I think sometimes the tags are a way of making the songs "exclusive" so other DJs can't snatch them up. Additionally it's cross promotion for the DJ and the artist.

In the case of St. Valentine's Day Bossacre, I know there were hard copies available at one point as I picked one up. Not sure about Nik Bean's other releases though.
