This is what happens when a player earns a reputation. Its the smae in a lot of sports. When some guy gets a bad rep the officials and referees are more likely to give them a foul than they would for someone else who committed the same 'offence'. Reputation precedes you.

and reasons like this are why baseball will still be #2 over the NBA in america (behind football ofcourse) despite baseball's many problems

If I didn't love the game of basketball so much I wouldn't even follow the NBA anymore these days.  The officiating is so pathetic that it is almost hard to believe that these referees are "professionals."
