Golf couldn't live without him,

You could have said Tom Brady is hands down the greatest QB ever that would have made more sense to me than this. Golf isn't going anywhere, with or with out Tiger. Is he the big star? Yes. Does he make it more money? Yes. Would the PGA Tour cease to exist if Tiger was never born? No it wouldn't. Golf will do just as good after Tiger as it did before Tiger. That may not mean as good as it does with Tiger, but it's here to stay.

You may as well have said Rap couldn't live with out Eminem.

the ratings are God awful without Tiger playing.

obviously the sport of Golf isn't going anywhere, but he is the only reason people watch Golf.

rap could live without Eminem because there are people we concider to be as good or better than Eminem, today & past.

I'm not arguing that ratings would sick big time until another star is born and even then may never be as big. I'm also not arguing that he is by far the best Golfer playing since Nicklaus stopped being great about 25 years ago. I'm not arguing that most people who watch network Golf watch to see Tiger. You said that that Golf needs Tiger to survive. And that is as wrong as Rap needs Eminem to survive. Who is more significant to their own area isn't the issue. The issue is both Golf and Rap will face no possibility of extinction whether Tiger or Em never do anything again.

My only issue with this award is that Golfers are not great athletes, it does not take great "athletic" skill to be great at Golf, and no Golfer should be mentioned with the great athletes of all time. Like I said; Wayne Gretzky does right now what Tiger Woods does, regardless of level, Tiger Woods could never do what Gretzky did.
