try a beta tape then....sometimes these new technologies suck balls and you gotta resort to the old school way of doing things.

tape a blank cd to the right side of your computer. this always seems to work for me.

definitely the way to go...i nearly lost all my shit a few years ago, but then someone loaned me some tape and a blank cd-r, worked a treat
