Snoop Dogg Talks Susan Boyle Collab come on really
« on: January 02, 2010, 10:03:02 AM »
Big Snoop Dogg recently appeared on the Chelsea Lately television show, where the west-coast rap legend expressed interest in doing a collaboration with United Kingdom reality tv show star (and now music sensation, plus lets not forget beauty queen), Susan Boyle. According to Snoop, he respects the Boyle's new "I Dreamed A Dream" music debut.  [Snoop Dogg On Chelsea Lately - Watch Here]

"I told Susan Boyle, 'When you put your record out,' when she sells a few records, come holler at me," Snoop told talk show host Chelsea Handler. "We can do a song together. Yeah [I'm a fan] because she was close to getting my record. You know I hold the record in the Guiness Book, I'm the only rapper to come out and debut number one and she was trying to get close to my record so I had to make sure she didn't. Yeah, I like her because she didn't get my record. If you set the studio session up, I'll do that." [Snoop Dogg Talks Collaborating With Susan Boyle - Watch Here]

He does a song with whoever is selling the most records at the moment why would this be surprising to anyone?

Because she stems from a reality TV show, which manufactures music in its most watered down form. One of the worst!!! The entire process is there for all to see!

Musical singers/artists should have some element of 'unknown' about them, which secures a glamor image, a diva image or any other image when they come out, rather than what usually happens - They appear on the show and first walk out on stage dressed in unco-ordinated clothing, shy, nervous, and clearly oblivious to how good/bad they may be, when clinging on to any positive feedback or words from morons who aren't even any good at what they do. Then whoever wins, they then come out months or a year later as some diva, or Hip R&B wannabe star and it just isn't believable when you've seen them on the show. I wouldn't want to taint my legacy with that trash, and appear on a slot of "musics most embarrassing moments" in years to come, which Snoop may find himself in. Susan Boyle, Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis etc. Sure they're all great singers but they will never be iconic, whereas Snoop is/was iconic back in the 90's in his own right

First Justin Timberlake, then Britney Spears, then Pussycat Dolls, then Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, now this? lol

Yeah, nothing wrong with this, this is just collaborating with what is hot

It's just like how on Doggystyle Snoop collab-ed with the biggest pop people at the time, with New Kids on the Block and Vanilla Ice all over his record

You guys remember New Kids on the Block all over Doggystyle right? That was tight.

Oh, wait a minute, that's right, it NEVER HAPPENED, because back then hip-hop artists didn't sell the fuck out and collab with whatever pile of shit was hot at the time

Well to be fair at that time, Snoop was what was hot. Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg were the artists everyone was trying to get on their records. They were the hot act that the older artists wanted to have on their albums to stay relevant. By 1993, Vanilla Ice and New Kids were three years past their expiration date.
