its not about "who" u co sign or if your co signing "fake" people, it's "their" decision to do what people consider "fake." By no means does that make u "fake" for messing with them, business is business. In business, u don't always "work" with people that u per say have to "like", every regular person goes to their every day 9-5 and deals with people they dislike. But guess what? as "people" they have to overlook that they "dislike" their co workers and be mature about it, they still team up and do the job the way it's supposed to be done in order to keep their jobs alive and in order to keep the business a successfully functioning one.

It's the same in rap imo. You are your own invested interest, your own business and your own brand - You have to do whatever necessary (realistically speaking) in order to keep your brand a successful one. If that means working with Wayne, so be it.

REAL TALK about niggas doing whats necessary in order to keep their brand successful. That same shit apply wit niggas doing songs wit other artist like timberlake, susan boyle, lady gaga, BEP, hell even soulja boy, gucci, ETC. No, it's just that Jay Rock needs to have a feature by whoever is dominating the charts to start a buzz outside home and be successful. Which is what a new-west rapper hasn't been in years.

I wouldn't say he's fake, though he's just conflicted.  While I realize that it's hard to not want to ride with someone who has such a stronghold of the rap industry at the time, the reality is that he has been happily standing beside someone who isn't certified but is trying to pass themselves off as being the real deal.  One theory is that Baby and Lil Wayne paid their way to claim Damu, so from one aspect, money talks, and the Bloods who got paid off (presumably some of whom would be from California and would at least have some pull within the gang) probably just said to let them be and claim it while making the gang more popular.  So someone like Jay Rock (and Game, to an extent) would really have no choice but to play along, even if it means kicking it with a buster.

While none of the more prominent Blood rappers from California (Jay Rock, Game, Mack 10, etc.) have spoken negatively about it, there is plenty of footage of various Bloods from Southern California voicing their opinions about how they disagree with what's going on.  I even remember a dubcnn news article from 2007 with a quote from Lil Eazy E saying that Lil Wayne doesn't know anything about being a Blood.  (It was in response to when Lil Wayne performed at the 2007 BET Hip-Hop Awards and said Soo-Woop in his lyrics.)
