the funny thing is, me either.

for your first paragraph, i don't know where you are going because i clearly stated i was talking about rushing lol & then i never said i wouldn't trade Shonn Greene for CJ lol.
--- End quote ---
Ok fine, ever if we ingore the pass yards, it's still CJ>Greene/Jones no matter how you look at the numbers of just the three parties involved.
--- Quote from: Chamillitary Click on January 15, 2010, 08:31:13 PM ---for your second paragraph, i've heard, "it's Collins fault", "our record doesn't reflect this team", etc. & the same offense all year? speaking of God coming down in various forms, i heard the name "Vince Young" bounced around as if he was some sort of savior, not to mention i also heard all year that the Jets just suck, etc, etc.
--- End quote ---
You never any of that from me. I defended Collins through out the entire Vince explosion. I also gave the Jets every credit they deserved and not once bashed them.
--- Quote from: Chamillitary Click on January 15, 2010, 08:31:13 PM ---it's like the Yankees, the entire season people just shit on them, say how bad they are, how they have no chance at winning in the Post Season & then when they win, it's expected & they are stacked & when they get bounced out in the first round it was just expected because they "aren't good"; same for the Jets. "they suck, they suck, they suck" & then when it comes down to comparing teams the Jets are suddenly some godly defense that makes their record looks foolish; meanwhile since Week 4, they haven't been good lol.
--- End quote ---
I never called the defense Godly or said they were shit. But week for week they had a better D than Tennessee and it's mainly because of the first 6 weeks where with a better D the Titans would have gotten 2 or 3 wins rather than zero, in my opinion.
--- Quote from: Chamillitary Click on January 15, 2010, 08:31:13 PM ---& last but not least, for you third paragraph, i don't know what you're trying to imply, because i didn't say anything about Chris Johnson not deserving the Offensive Player of the Year. he's had my vote since i said he was running the show in Tennessee & was then told Vince Young is the reason for the turn-a-round lol.
--- End quote ---
You said if CJ's rushing was more valuable than Greene/Jones the Titans would have made the playoffs. I responded to that. One I never said he was MVP and two, offensive player should rely on wins/losses at all. A DE gets 30 sacks next year and he gets defensive player even if his team is 0-16. If we agree, that's great.

i too, find it really easy to co-sign people fighting arguments in my personal favor lol.
just make sure you make an apperance in the next Peyton Manning related thread, when i try to take the "Jesus" out of his middle name; it would mean a lot to your boy. :D

Every time Manning has fucked up I've mentioned it first. I don't think he's untouchable, I just think he's on another level than any other QB right now. My argument through the years I've compared to NBA 90s vs 80s. People want Manning vs Brady to be seen as Bird and Magic. When it should be Jordan vs Ewing, Barkley, Malone, etc. And I hate Jordan more than you hate Manning.

^no, no, no, no lol.
it's not in anyway ever intended to be Magic v. Bird.
the way it's portrayed here, it's like Kobe v. Sun Yue; Kobe arguably being the GOAT, no doubt HOFer, best player in the same today to Yue, not even deserving a spot on a roster, lucky to be in the league lol.
my entire argument for months has just been that Brady is better than Yue lol.

I know where you stand. I respect that. It's where others stand that bother me. Even I confuse people with where I stand. I used to love Brady. Even a Bills fan really pulled for him that first year. The problems started when people started thinking he was better than Bledsoe, which I think both are equal. So when they started saying as good as Manning, or better than Manning, I stared getting upset. In fact it was the debate that turned me into a bigger Manning fan. I had two QBs my whole life while they were playing I was huge fans of; Jim Kelly and Doug Flutie. Manning after 03 I just realized how good he was. Wasn't even cheering much for him or cared, but I knew he was miles ahead of Brady.
For example I don't like Tiger Woods. I just don't. Never did. But if someone started getting in my ear about how Mickelson or Weir were just as good or better. I would argue that passionately. Not for Woods, but for me, and me being right and them wrong. Peyton winning MVPs and rings isn't important for me because I want Peyton to be happy or Brady to be sad. I just want to be right. It's a problem I have. But when I'm shown to be not right, like I was about Kobe not being able to lead I gladly admit I was wrong. If Brady ever put a team on his back and performed like a champ when the chips were down I'd feel bad I was wrong but I'd admit it. If in the Baltimore game he saw the blitzes and either scrambled or threw it to covered guys in tight spots with balls that should be completions, whether they were or weren't, I'd say he showed me somethign. And if he did that on many occasions I'd put him with the elite.
