After performing "Hoodie" with Omarion on 106 & Park yesterday, Jay Rock wastes no time and doubles up with a brand new song from his upcoming debut album "Follow Me Home". Rock recruits Lloyd on the hook while producer Nottz delivers a monster of a beat.

The wait will be over soon... in the meantime check out what the Watts rapper came up with:

Jay Rock Feat. Lloyd - Ask About Me (Produced by Nottz)

One reason why i never got into Jay Rock is because of what beats he uses, damn he choses wack beats for real. Nottz or not, this beat is GARBAGE.

I don't like the beat, so it kinda fucks up the track for me.

GET YOUR WALK ON hates on anything thats new west coast rap..this track is better than 90% of the tracks on snoops garbage album that you niggaz all loved and the 2 weak tracks game dropped off his album, these niggaz on here don't give new west coast rappers a shot because of the so called new west beef with the washed niggaz they love.... if its not ice cube, snoop, game some blackwallstreet niggas that will get dropped by the end of next week or any washed up nigga that career ending in the 90's rapping over some computer voice shit with that loud ass ring noise then they don't care.. if this was a snoop, ice cube game joint or if it said produced by dre these niggaz would be on that im feeling this, Fireee, heat, dick guzzing ass groupie niggaz, these dudes still hyping up danny boy as a top hook singer ;D so you already know what it is Ha!!!!, since after trav said jay rock and game are not on speaking terms these flip flopping groupie niggaz started hating on his shit , game fans are just as bipolar as he is.

I agree with Okka, not feeling this beat at all. And I ain't one of them "stuck 1990 west coast hip hop" so don't nobody come at me with that.

I dunno what it is, but their is a background effect in the beat that is annoying as hell. I compare this beat to the work Nottz did on Game's LAX album; awful. Nottz is dope, but he can be hit/miss.

I really don't think Lloyd is garbage though, I think he's pretty talented.

As far as the beat and Lloyd's choice in hook, it just didn't work. The song has zero replay value to me.

I don't mind Jay Rock trying new things, i just think the whole track wasn't executed properly.

^agreed. I want to see Jay Rock succeed so I understand more mainstream music is needed. I'm fine with that. Lloyd is hot, fuck what anyone says. Lloyd got good vocals. That "Bedrock" hook catchy. But this song, just doesn't work for me.

Nottz is dope, but he can be hit/miss.

Yeah, that is true. He has made some great shit but he has made a lot garbage beats too. "W.O.L.V.E.S." is one of his best beats.
