Come on.I like hearin' Butch Cassidy doin' hooks or him doin' an track with somebody rappin'. that's why a collabo album with somebody like DJ Quik would be tight. What ever happened to that "Black & Brown" collabo album that Butch Cassidy was supposed to release with somebody? I can't remember dudes name.

Was "Midnight Life" even released? Fuck that Jay and R.Kelly record though. Name some West Coast collabo albums that turned out wack.

San Quinn/T-Nutty - A Warrior and a King (Like a lot of San Quinns material, but this album was pretty weak IMO)Outlawz/Dead Prez - Can't Sell Dope Forever (Same thing, former Outlawz fan, but always loved Dead Prez, and thought this could re-grow Tha Outlawz and fire some passion into their music, but turned out a dissapointment)Daz has put out wack collab material as well, and that Jay Z & R-Kelly although not West Coast is relevant to the discussion because it's mentioning 2 vets with a reputation and reputable fan bases, but when brought together it ends up wack. I can still remember people jumping up and down thinking it was great that Quik & Kurupt were going to do an album together dubbing it classic before it had even been released, and the end result was that it was a pile of trash with 2/3 good songs at best! What these old timers need to perfect a collaboration album is to have more than just 2 people. They need a combination of artists/producers to make it a combined team effort. Quik, Warren G, Devante, Snoop, and Butch Cassidy would make it a decent album, and hopefully 2-3 extra heads would be good input into preventing certain tracks from being put on an album, and usually with a majority vote of 5 people is a hell of a lot better than just 2 people. Look at individual tracks. Anyone remember "Don't Tell" from Snoops No Limit Top Dogg album? If I remember right it had both Quik & Warren G producing, Snoop, Jewell & Mausberg on the mic. That's 5 people. Group collaborations for vets are better than twin collobo's
