They said his safe was full of his unpublished work, he didnt want to be famous and wanted to stay in shadows. Now that he died RIP there are multiple possibilities for his books to become movies (since someone will get the publishing rights), while he lived he didnt want that to happen.

im gonna be pissed as fuck at a movie version of catcher in the rye, however, i do want to see what he was working on writing-wise for the last 40 years
