Ferdinand? I'm guessing you're not particularly clued up about English football as a whole then mate..or at least you don't read the English newspapers. Rio Ferdinand's track record is as bad as Terry's.
Last week he was banned for a few games for elbowing Hull forward Craig Fagan in the face in an off the ball incident. He was banned from football for 12months a few years ago for purposefully missing a drugs test. Also, the guy just off form alone will be lucky to be a starting player for us in the World Cup as he's regressed massively as a player in the last 18months. Sure, he's still a great defender, but he has competition and due to a flurry of injuries, bans and poor performances he really needs to pull his finger out to ensure a starting 11 spot by Summer.
My guess is Terry will retain it, but it could go to Gerrard as he's captained his own club for years and not many players have the (mind you, his track record isnt exactly squeaky clean).

JT probably still is the best man for the job, but only if he still has the trust and respect of his team mates. Otherwise Beckham might get the armband again :-\
